The iPonder Series is a microprocessor based intelligent transceiver module. The command set adheres to the MSA standard or a customized command set can be supplied. This module performs complete thermal management control in transponder applications. It will interface to standard framer, multiplexer, de-multiplexer and clock / data recovery chip sets. There are applications notes which demonstrate these interface circuits. The optical receive circuitry has a widw wavelength range from 850nm to 1660nm for multi-mode and single mode fiber optic applications. This module gives the user many options in terms of overall optic system design. It can be used as a simple transceiver module or many other DWDM applications. The iPonder Series includes multi-channel designs also. There is a tunable laser option
