The LCON-4 is a RISC
processor-based laser controller, specifically optimized for all aspects
of laser control. It acquires all necessary analog signals including
optical power, temperature, and laser diode current. The LCON-4 can
process optical power transients in less than 10usec, and then
can adjust the current in each laser diode according to the mode of
operation, current state of the optical amplifier, and conditions set in
firmware. This makes the LCON-4 the most advanced flexible laser
controller on the market today.
