Programmable Laser Diode Modulator

The LDM1000 is a 100KHz to 10MHz Laser Diode Modulator capable of modulating a laser diode with a sine, square or pulse current wave. Bias current amplitude, modulation current amplitude and frequency are completely programmable and selectable using a simple menu structure. Utilizing a PC the LDM1000 can be configured to modulate almost any laser diode. An optional internal TEC (Thermal Electric Controller) circuit maintains constant laser temperature for optimal performance. The PD monitoring and current limiting features ensure proper operation of the laser diode. The LDM1000 laser diode modulator has a simple serial interface to the PC. These features along with an easy to use menu driven functional selection combine for a state of the art instrument for the test floor or photonic lab.

The LDM1000 is factory tested and all parameters are factory configured for optimum output waveforms. The user can adjust these parameters using the supplied Windows based interface software.
